Privacy Policy

ShackleApp ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what the app collects and why. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.

What we collect and why

We collect only what's needed to run the app's features:

Data	Why
Name (display name)	So the people you message know who wrote to them
Apple user identifier	A stable, private account ID via Sign in with Apple (no password)
Approximate location (city-level)	To place your "home loft" as the start and end point of a dispatch on the map. We store only a coarse, rounded position — never a precise fix
Device push token	To notify you when a dispatch arrives or news breaks
Message content	To deliver your message to the recipient you chose

How messages work

A dispatch you send is delivered to the specific recipient you address it to (someone who has shared their "pigeons" with you). Message content is stored on our servers only until it is delivered and read, and is associated with your account.

Service providers

Apple — Sign in with Apple (authentication) and Apple Push Notification service (notifications).
Cloudflare — hosts our backend (Workers and D1 database), which stores accounts and messages.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices and rights

Delete your account at any time in the app (Dispatch tab → Account → Delete Account). This permanently removes your account, your dispatches, and your connections from our servers.
Block or report other users from within the app.
Revoke location or notification permission in iOS Settings at any time.

Data retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Reports of objectionable content may be retained as needed for safety and moderation.

Children

ShackleApp is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region).
